Metro Sessions 5 was a fantastic, steamy, Asian-fruit-filled affair. P.hazeone played extra long for Metro Sessions 5 while we steamed it up in one hot LA studio apartment, and DJ Honey Touch showed up with a bunch of b-sides and #browgoals to set us off, including a throwback Montell Jordan that made our resident artist very happy. Tons of hip hop that you love here, plus some nice boogie grooves. The art by Erica Lee White was the perfect scene, so perfect, I had to keep one on the wall forever. What a rad night.
The August Metro Sessions is aptly titled the Summer Studio edition. We’ll have DJ Honey Touch in the streaming studio to record a summer mix that will probably cross all the best genres. Plus, P.hazeone is bringing some recent releases and new-to-him records. It’s always great when the Rhythm & Untz crew is in effect! (Catch the whole crew on the 15th at Broadway bar.)
Metro Sessions is also bringing art studio vibes with a very special guest artist, Erica Lee White. Erica paints breathtaking abstract works on huge canvases that feature beautiful, harmonic color palettes, and it’s easy to be captivated. I first fell in love with Erica’s work when she was featured in a solo show at Align Gallery in Highland Park, where she had Honey Touch play her opening.
